The Golden Hill Academy is an English nursery and primary school. The school’s impact goes beyond educating children. We offer computer classes to teenagers, tailoring and hairdressing classes to empower women and are providing filtered rain-water to the community using two 10.000L water tanks.
Jeremiah & Kate founded the school and lead our operations on-site in Mutoto, Uganda. They’ve lived there since 2015 and devoted their lives to empower and transform the community of Mutoto. Besides education, they’re running community programs that go beyond education — such as HIV prevention, maternity, and adult functional training programs.
In 2020 we built three classrooms for the Golden Hill Academy. About 20 local workers and 40+ volunteers worked hand-in-hand to build the learning facilities of the primary school. We were able to finish the buildings within six weeks.
