Emmanuel lost his parents to the genocide in Rwanda when he was only two weeks old. He grew up in an orphanage and had to quit school early as his foster family struggled to finance his education. Driven by his own experience, his dream is to help children by providing them with quality education. His partner Michel shares this vision as he also grew up without parents and struggled at a young age. Together, they are striving to expand the Kunda Village to nurture the potential of the children of their community.
The goal of the building project is to extend the Kunda Village Nursery School and establish a Primary School. As a first step, we will build one block with three classrooms and sanitary facilities. A solid and permanent building structure allows the kids to learn in a safe physical environment.
