The Kunda Village School is an English nursery and primary school. It was founded in 2016 to provide education to orphans and children from financially and socially challenged families.
Emmanuel lost his parents to the genocide in Rwanda when he was still a baby. He grew up in an orphanage and had to quit school early as his foster family struggled to finance his education. Driven by his own experience, his dream is to help children by providing them with quality education. His partner Michel shares this vision as he also grew up without parents and struggled at a young age. Together, they are striving to expand the Kunda Village to nurture the potential of the children of their community.
The goal of the building project is to extend the Kunda Village Nursery School and establish a Primary School. A solid and permanent building structure allows the kids to learn in a safe physical environment.
Education is critical to overcome the traumatic past and ensure a bright and secure future for Rwanda’s children, families and communities. The goal is to offer quality education as one key factor in ensuring a sustainable transformation and creating a new path for future generations.
